Outside The Camp

Joey Zorinsanga (Joey Zorina) is originally from N-E India, Mizoram, a 95 % christian state.  Before Christ came into his life, Joey spent his life as a technical guitar player in clubs, pubs and halls; working as a studio musician and Rock Street Journal correspondent.  After an encounter with Jesus Christ, his life took a dramatic turn around and left the music scene entirely to pursue His call in vocational ministry.  Joey graduated from a small intensive training school called- Harvest Bible Training Centre, India which changed his life forever.  He responded to God’s call to Japan in 2004 to study at Tokyo Christian University where he completed Asian Christian Theological Studies (2008) program.

After serving as an intern at All Nations Fellowship (Nagoya, Japan) for 2 years, Joey moved with his wife, Yisel, to Noborito, Kawasaki City.  He is currently serving Ekklessia Christian Church (Japanese+English worship) in the area of preaching & pastoral care for a grace-based Gospel-centered church renewal.   He also founded and leads a gospel-centered, The Bridge music, outreach to Jazz bands, and teaches guitar and English in his spare time.

Joey is gratefully married to Yisel, from Uruguay (South America).  Yisel graduated from Heritage Bible College & Seminary (2006), Ontario, Canada.  She taught kindergarten at International Christian Academy of Nagoya for 5 years before moving to Kawasaki with her husband in 2011.  Yisel loves to reach out to Japanese ladies and host the group that meets at their home.  She currently teaches at a new Kindergarten school  for young families.
